Sketches from Appleseed Comic Con 2014

Appleseed Comic Con was tremendous! I had an incredibly great time at the show and hanging out before and afterwards. Didn't do a ton of sketches but there was a steady stream of business as I moved a lot of prints and books. The people of Fort Wayne are friendly, engaging, and good lookin'! Thank you Zack Kruse and Co. for putting on such a fantastic show. I prize the time I got to hang out and talk with friends new and old. If every show were the Appleseed Comic Con, the world would be a better place.

Sketches from Free Comic Book Day 2014

Another Free Comic Book Day come and gone. I was a guest once again at Phantom of the Attic, in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. I was swamped with sketch requests, and I tried to do my best while the pressure was on. The sketches were free for the kids and cheap for everyone else. Big thanks to everyone who came by and to the awesome folks at Phantom for having me and putting on a great event!

Sketches from Cincinnati Comic Con

The inaugural Cincinnati Comic Con was great! I had a terrific time back in my old hometown. It was both a successful and fun show. Big thanks to Tony Moore, Kara, Bill, Kendall, Brian and all the staff for making me feel important and running the show with the ultimate in professionalism. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the table, or hung out with me before and after the show. Shout outs to my collaborator on Breathe of Bones Steve Niles and Monica Richards for being awesome table neighbors, and to Tony Fleecs, Chris Ryder, and Chris Moreno for being excellent roommates! I hope to be back next year.

Here are sketches from the show:

Sketches from PIX 2011

This past weekend I exhibited at the 2nd annual Pittsburgh Indy Comics Expo, aka PIX. Another really fun show this year. I feel fortunate to have settled in a town that has such a diverse and thriving comics community.

Here are the sketches I did for some fine folks. I took more pics at the show, you can check them out on my facebook or flickr.

Batman mini sketch

This will be my last post for a little while. I'm leaving on vacation today, driving with a friend to Yellowstone, then later to Canada. So for the next two weeks my internet use will be limited. I'll see you later. Please try and have fun without me.
