The Gunfight
One of the rewards from the Guns of Shadow Valley Kickstarter campaign was an ink and watercolor re-creation of the gunfight page from chapter 1. Below is the original, created way back in 2007.

Guns of Shadow Valley poster art
This is the original art for a reward level on the Guns of Shadow Valley Kickstarter campaign, called the Movie Poster Art Print. The print is available at the $50 dollar level, along with the book. It's also available as an add-on for an other pledge level. The original painting is also available for a pledge of $1400.
The idea here was to create a movie poster reminiscent of painted movie poster art from the past, before the days of bad Photoshop. I was influenced by the work of Drew Struzan, who painted the movie posters for the Indiana Jones movies, Star Wars, and just about everything else in the '80s. I also wanted to harken back to the movie posters of when Westerns were king of the box office in the '40s and '50s, which is one of the reasons for the horizontal format.

TMNT Old Hob cover
This is the alternate retailers incentive cover for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Villains Micro-series #3: Old Hob. As the name implies, this issue is all about the mutated villainous street thug leader Old Hob. I'm currently working on the interior art as well. The issue is currently available for pre-order at your local comic shop and will be released in June, so check it out!
Below I have posted a step by step process of the cover's creation, from initial sketch in Photoshop to the finished watercolor painting.

Appleseed Comic Con print
I was asked to create this image for the Appleseed Comic Con. They are selling the print at the show and giving it away for FREE to anyone who pre-orders tickets. If you're anywhere near Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 11th, I strongly advise you to attend, it'll be a great show. And I'll be there, so there's that.

True Blood cover
This is the cover for True Blood #10 from IDW. It was a long process to get this final product. The name of the game was getting the approval from HBO. When you make art for a licensed property you are at the behest of the property owner. Below I've illustrated a few of the steps leading to the final piece. It was a learning experience.
My editor was worried that the face was not accurate enough, not matching actor Joe Manganiello, and therefore would not meet approval. On the right you see my corrections, made in photoshop.
This is the layout finally approved by HBO. I think this was #10 out of 12. Not my first choice.

Low Concept 3 cover art
Hey, a blog post! It's been a while, I know. This here is the cover art for Low Concept 3, the third edition of an anthology created by members of the 11 O'Clock Comics podcast message board. The last two books were great, and I was honored to be asked to do the cover for this new edition. The book will be available for pre-order in February, here's the link.
Oh, and Happy New Year!
Here's a look at the art, sans logo:
